FAQ

  • Is this a pet friendly event?

    Please, No Pets

Due to the extreme heat and the amount of asphalt we ask you, for the health and safety of your pets, to not bring them to the Festival.

Service animals are welcome (but you might want to put shoes on them); please leave all others in the comfort of home.

  • Where should we stay?

There is just too much fun to try and get done in one day, so you better plan on spending the weekend with us.

Check-out our Lodging Members to find your perfect place to explore the City of Blanco and the Festival.

  • What should I bring with me?

This is Texas in June, and yes, it will probably be hot! Sunscreen, comfortable clothing and footwear are essential. Be sure to bring a refillable water container - chilled water will be available at the Information & Souvenir Tent.

  • Where should we park?

We recommend parking at Blanco High School (1215 4th St, Blanco, TX 78606) and taking the shuttle.

If you choose to park in residential areas, please park responsibly along streets, DO NOT block any driveways and watch for signage. You can also park in one of the many community -offered lots. Parking is limited so carpooling is highly suggested.

Handicapped parking is available and will be clearly marked - spaces are limited. No parking is allowed inside the street barricades on the town square.

  • Where is the lavender market located?

The Lavender Market is located on the grounds of the historic Old Blanco County Courthouse and is a must-see highlight of the festival. Select artists and craftspeople from across Texas and beyond will offer the finest lavender-related pleasures and treasures.

    Market Hours: Fri Noon - 6 / Sat 9 - 6 / Sun 10 -4

  • Can we visit the lavender farm?

Yes, Admission to the farm is free.

The farm is located 8 miles outside of Blanco at the corner of FM 165 and 2325. You are welcome to drive (parking is $5.00 per car) or take the shuttle from the town square. The shuttle will run all 3 days of the festival.

  • When does the lavender bloom?

The lavender blooming season generally runs the month of June. Check www.hillcountrylavender.com for an up-to-date Bloom Report!

  • Where is there to eat?

Restaurants and Festival Treats will be available! Enjoy dining in our local restaurants or festival treats from one of the many food vendors located on the festival grounds.

  • Where are the restrooms located?

Located on Pecan Street between You Need It and the Byars Building. ( Look for signs marking Port-A-Potties for public use.) There are also public restrooms located in Bindseil Park, on the side of City Hall.

How do I become a vendor?

The 2023 festival is now completely full and we are no longer accepting new applications.
