Lavender farms are not the only ones in Blanco gearing up for the Lavender Festival June 14th - 15th. Many other businesses will incorporate lavender and offer specials and lavender-related activities during the festival weekend.

The Blanco Settlement, an inn with quaint cabins on the Blanco River, will use linen spray made with Hill Country Lavender oil on bed linens during the Lavender Festival. The inn will also have a complimentary tube of lavender cream in every room and serve muffins with lavender for breakfast. On RR 165, one mile from downtown Blanco.

Brieger Pottery — During the lavender festival, Brieger Pottery, makers of hand-thrown pottery, will offer pottery demonstrations. Brieger Pottery is also a retail outlet for Hill Country Lavender's full line of products. On the north side of the Blanco square. 409 Fourth St., 830-833-2860.
Casa de Yoga, Blanco's own yoga studio, will offer Beginning/Intro Yoga classes during the Lavender Festival. Instructor Tara O'Neill R.N. (who's taught yoga nine years in Blanco and works in adult critical care in an Austin hospital) will also discuss the benefits of yoga, including its importance to maintaining a healthy heart and cardiac functions. Beginner classes will be conducted while an oil diffuser-crafted by Brieger Pottery and filled with lavender oil-scents the studio. Cozy Coaches & Cabins Bed & Breakfast — This vintage trailer court adjacent to Blanco State Park will have an open house during the weekend of the Lavender Festival. Miller Creek RV Park invites campers (RVs, tents and/or cabins) to stay overnight and enjoy a hotdog roast under the huge oak trees along the banks of Miller Creek Saturday evening (June 10). Lavender lemonade will be served during the cookout, and a strolling magician will provide entertainment.
