Miller Creek Lavender is an evolving dream of owners Karen and Don Roets. The 12.5-acre farm, located near the intersection of Highways 281 and 290 north of Blanco, has grown from a love of gardening to a passion for creating a peaceful, Hill Country haven of 6,000 lavender plants. A three-acre field features nine varieties of lavender. In addition to lavender, Miller Creek offers a butterfly garden, a variety garden that includes 70 types of lavender, a developing Biblical garden, a blackberry patch, and plenty of shady areas to relax and unwind.

"We want guests to enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, so we designed the farm to include plenty of shaded parking with granite sand trails that lead to the various garden areas," Karen explained. "Our number one goal is to greet and welcome each and every person that visits Miller Creek Lavender, and encourage them to relax and enjoy the peaceful beauty of the farm. We get a lot of enjoyment helping others experience and appreciate lavender as much as we do. Don and I want people to feel like part of the family when they come for a visit."

A visit to Miller Creek Lavender is a pleasant experience thanks to a lot of long hours and hard work by Don and Karen. Don has a full-time sales job but helps out on weekends. For Karen, Miller Creek Lavender is her full-time career.

Miller Creek Lavender offers many unique products. The number one seller is its lavender margarita mix. According to Karen, the mix makes incredible margaritas as well as exceptional lavender and champagne mimosas. Other food specialty products include lavender-infused salsas, jams, jellies, honey, mustard, teas, and culinary lavender.
